321 Huron Ave, Sheboygan, Wisconsin as it appears today.

The 1920 Census shows Walter married to Eunice with their first daughter, Helen.  They are in Grand Chute, Outagamie County, Wisconsin.  Also living with them are:

Grandmother, 76, Widow  (This is Leona (Dane) Briggs.)

Mother Mary, 47, Widow  (This will be Mary Elizabeth (Briggs) after her 2nd husband Austin Horr’s death.)

Sister Frances Brooks, 23 (This will be Eunice’s full sister, Frances Josephine Brooks, before her marriage to Archibald Kowald.)

Sister Mary Horr, 18  (Eunice’s half-sister.)

By 1930, Walter, Eunice and their 2 daughters have moved back to Sheboygan, Wisconsin.

For a time, Eunice lived in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, after Walter’s passing in 1961.

In 1968, she moved into the Sheboygan Retirement Home, located at 930 North 6th Street in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.

Eunice’s death was reported by Patty Dentz, a resident of Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.  She passed from a Cerebral Vascular Accident.  Information is from Sheboygan County Death Record, v108, #234.

I have not been unable to find a death record for Eunice’s infant son.

Eunice was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ and its Women’s Fellowship and Naomi Circle.  She was also a member of Eastern Star.

Eunice is the Documentor (Is that a proper term?) for A Bit Of Grandma’s Life, the reflections of Leona (Dane) Briggs life including life in early Nova Scotia.

Eunice and Walt had a cottage on a lake in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.

Helen Elizabeth (Wingrove) Berger married Ralph F. Berger on January 14, 1937 (Marriage Record in v29, #345.) witnessed by Betty Bryan and Robert L. Berger.  They had 2 children, Joan Patricia, born 11/19/1937, and Mary Elizabeth “Maribeth”, born 10/31/1940.  Helen is noted as being a piano teacher and Ralph, son of Robert and Clara (Ayers) Berger is a clerk for Wisconsin Public Service.  He later became a salesman at Wingrove Oil Co.  Ralph and Helen resided at 621 St. Clair Ave., and in the 1970’s, at 5021 South 8th Street, both are in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.

Patricia Ruth (Wingrove) Dentz, born 8/3/1922, married Henry B. Dentz on 10/5/1944.  (Marriage Record in v36, #401.)  Henry was born 9/23/1920, son of Victor and Viola (Schutte) Dentz.  Henry was in the Army when they got married.  Afterwards he became involved with the Wingrove Oil Co., eventually becoming the VP.  The couple also lived at the 321 Huron address in Sheboygan, but it is not clear if they lived with Patty’s parents or if the Wingroves had moved out, leaving the house to them.  They had 3 children: Henry “Denny” Schutte Dentz Jr. born 6/22/1946, Jeffrey “Jeff” Wingrove Dentz born 4/19/1948, and Helen Elizabeth born 2/26/1952.  Jeff has one son, Aaron.  Denny has four children; Susie, Mary, Jeremiah, and Samuel.  Helen has six children; Jedediah, Malachi, Tamar, Cana, Rachel, and Ezra.  There are children among the great grandchildren as well.  Henry and Patty had moved to 530 Park Ave. in Sheboygan by the time that their third child came along.
