*Daniel Joslin was born about 1802 and died July 17, 1876 at age 74.  His wife’s name was Maria, who was born November 12, 1807 and died May 13, 1870.  They are both buried in West Hoosick Rural Cemetery, West Hoosick, New York.  There is another headstone there that reads Joslin, Deborah Maria / d. Jan 11, 1834, age 24 Y, 1 M, 1 D; consort of Daniel.  So she was born December 10, 1809.  Maybe she would have been Daniel’s first wife had she not passed away.   This suggests that Daniel married Maria about 1835.  Did they have a son?  (See below, two paragraphs.)

**Whitman Joslin was born about 1804.  He is not buried in West Hoosick.  However, his 1st wife is.  He was 1st married to Rachel (Moseley) Joslin on September 1, 1830.  Rachel was also born about 1804 and died October 29, 1829.   She was the daughter of Increase and Rachel (Wright) Moseley from White Creek, New York.  Increase Moseley, b. February 28, 1779 and d. March 3, 1858.   Rachel (Wright) Moseley, b. April 25, 1779 and d. February 22, 1864.  Almost a year later on September 1, 1830, Whitman married Rachel’s sister, Sally.  Sally was born September 6, 1808 and died October 19, 1892.  She also is not buried in West Hoosick.

There is another set of graves in the West Hoosick Rural Cemetery that I have not quite yet figured out how they fit into the family tree.  They are the 1st and 2nd wives of a Henry P. Joslin and a daughter.  Henry P. Joslin was born about 1848, but I don’t know who his parents were.  It is possible that he is the son of Daniel and Maria, as Maria would have been 33 or 34 years old when Henry was born, which is quite possible.  Henry’s 1st wife was Emma E. (Harrington) Joslin, b. March 19, 1852 and d. October 26, 1875.  They were married February 12, 1868.  Their daughter, Jessie Joslin was born July 25, 1870 and died young on March 30, 1875.  Henry then married Mary (Bosworth) Joslin, b. 1846 and d. May 29, 1911.  According to the 1880 Census, Henry and Mary Joslin had a farm in the Hoosick are of New York state.  I do not know when Henry passed or where he may be buried.
