is buried with his wife Elizabeth (Wahl) Colvin. Dr. Ralph and Elizabeth had 2 sons. His obituary is available in the New
York Times. He was a clinical
psychologist specializing in child development.
He presented an article in 1960 at a workshop on “Education Programs for
Disturbed Children” entitled The
Education of Emotionally Disturbed Children in a Residential Treatment Center,
also published in the American Journal of
Orthopsychiatry, Volume 31, Issue 3, July 1961. Dr. Colvin wrote 2 books: first, Salaries and Manpower in Child Welfare, 1966,
published by Child Welfare League in 1967 and secondly, published by Springer
Pub., NY, NY in 1974, entitled Preschool
Education: A Handbook for The Training of Early Childhood Educators. Dr. Ralph Colvin also graduated from Lawrence
University. The graves next to theirs
are reserved for Leonard P and Janet C. Colvin.
