Wife Joanna Nutting was born February 21, 1690 in Groton, Massachsetts and died there on September 6, 1782. I have not learned the name of her father, but her mother is Lydia Longley, b. January 1, 1657 also of Groton, Mass. Lydia’s parents are William Longley, (b. May 29, 1598, Frisby, England and d. November 29, 1680 in Groton, Mass.) and Johanna Goffe (b. 1614, Frisby, England and d. April 18, 1698 in Charlestown, Mass.). William Longley was son of John Longley (b. December 18, 1618 in Irby of Marsh, Frisby, England and d. there in 1639). Johanna Goffe is the daughter of Thomas Goffe (b. about 1580 in Lincolnshire, England).
